Having spent much of my life here, I understand the unique needs of our community and am dedicated to providing personalised eye care that reflects our local values and lifestyle. My journey into optometry was driven by a genuine interest in helping others and a fascination with the intricate science of vision.
My educational journey has been both extensive and enriching. Attending both primary and high school locally at the Australian International Academy in Coburg and completing VCE at Melbourne High School. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Orthoptics from La Trobe University, as well as a Bachelor of Vision Science and a Master of Optometry from Deakin University with therapeutic endorsement. These qualifications have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of eye care and the latest advancements in the field.
show moreMy professional experience includes time spent at several esteemed institutions, including the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, Northern Health, The Eye Centre Gold Coast, practicing in Geelong, rurally in Albury and most importantly in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne over the past 8 years. These roles have allowed me to work with a diverse range of patients and develop a deep expertise in managing various eye conditions.
With years of experience in the field, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse patient populations, honing my skills, and staying abreast of the latest advancements in eye care. My goal is to ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of care in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Outside of the office, I’m a family oriented man and avid sports fanatic. You’ll find me at most Carlton games during the winter months in Melbourne. Whether I’m playing or cheering from the sidelines, I believe that staying active is key to maintaining overall health. This interest also enriches my practice, as I understand the importance of clear vision in both everyday life and athletic performance.
At our practice, you’re not just another patient—you’re a valued member of our community. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting your vision health with the same dedication and care that I would offer my family.
Thank you for considering us for your eye care needs. I’m excited to meet you and help you see the world more clearly.

I’m passionate about helping you see the world clearly and comfortably. I believe that the cornerstone of great optometry lies in honest, open communication, and I am dedicated to ensuring that every conversation we have is both transparent and meaningful.
My journey into optometry began at Deakin University, where I pursued my degree with a focus on delivering comprehensive and compassionate care. In my studies, I gained extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in both primary eye care and specialty areas. My clinical training included rotations in various settings, from general optometry practices to advanced ocular disease clinics, which helped me develop a well-rounded perspective on eye health. The decision to embark on this path was profoundly influenced by my older brother, Mahmoud (pictured above). His dedication to the profession and the positive impact he has had on his patients inspired me to follow in his footsteps, striving to make a similar difference in people’s lives.
show moreWhen I’m not working to improve your vision, you can find me in the garden, and I take great pleasure in cultivating a vibrant garden. Tending to my numerous bonsai gives me a sense of peace and accomplishment. The meticulous care and patience required fascinates me, and I find the process of shaping and pruning both meditative and rewarding. Another passion of mine is baking. I love experimenting with new recipes and creating sweet treats that bring joy to family and friends. From crafting intricate choux cream puffs to perfecting classic fruit tarts, baking is a delightful way for me to express my creativity and indulge in a bit of culinary artistry. These hobbies not only provide a welcome balance to my professional life but also allow me to cultivate patience, precision, and creativity—qualities that enhance my approach to patient care.
